G D P R (General Data Protection Regulation)

New rules concerning the holding and use of personal data come into force on the 25thMay 2018.

This latest enactment of the Data Protection Act strengthens your control over the data the Society holds.  This is to ensure that data not relevant to the operation of the Society is not kept and that the data which is held is protected from misuse.

The data the Society holds, viz your name, address, contact details, your membership status, recital attendance, will be used only to contact you about the Society’s concert programme, meetings and any other relevant information about the Society or about other local Music Society events.

The Society will not use the data for any other marketing purposes nor will it disclose or sell this data to any third party.

The data that the Society currently holds has been volunteered by you in the knowledge that it will be used only for the purposes outlined above.  However, should you wish not to be contacted by the Society, then you have the right to request that the Society ceases to hold this data and to have it removed from the Society’s databases.  Do so by either using the unsubscribeoption below or in writing by contacting the Society either by email or post.
